Rick sculpts hair with an innate ability and confidence that comes from over 40 years of experience in the business. He is a Redken color specialist and has trained at the Redken Academy 5th Avenue NYC with some of the top educators in the field (Sam Villa and Chris Barron). Rick is always looking for ways to enhance his knowledge and regularly attends classes. He is certified in the Keratin Smoothing Complex Therapy. Rick's skills and experience offers you a wide variety of services using many techniques. Services include classic and trendy haircuts for men, women and children, color, corrective color, highlights and low-lights, Brazilian blowout, smoothing treatments and more.
Rick currently works at “STYLIN" Suite 106 located in the Phenix Salon Suites which provides a unique environment customized for clients. Private stylist’s suite with natural light, allows him to truly capture hair colors’ subtle tones. Complimentary refreshments and free WiFi access is available. Rick schedules his own appointments to fit your busy schedule.

To start off with, I am incredibly picky when it comes to my hair but I have been going to Rick for 15 + years and he is the only person I trust with my hair. Both my mom and I go to Rick and we are never disappointed with the final product. Every time I go to him with an idea, he goes above and beyond my expectations. This past trip in, I had long boring light brown hair without any life which he transformed to a beautiful dark auburn and gave my hair some shape. Rick understands my needs, wants and pictures so I never feel nervous in his chair. The Salon staff is also extremely friendly, and the salon itself is extremely clean and professional.

Rick Hohmann is a magician-beautician, giving me the cuts, the colors, the styling that make me look better than ever! He even does photography work, and I can't imagine anyone else ever doing my hair! I love The Salon too, conveniently located and vendor of Unite Hair Products which make my hairstyle dreams come true.

Just moved back to California for the summer after college and wanted to try out a new hair cut, but didn't know where to go. After looking up some different places on yelp I decided to give The Salon a try...and I am so happy that I did! I called the salon and asked for an appointment on that same day and they were able to fit me in which was great! My stylist was Rick...I would totally recommend him. He has lots of experience and nailed my hair cut and color. For someone who is very critical of the way my hair looks...I thought he did a wonderful job. Great experience overall and I love my new hair cut and color :)

Super friendly staff that don't ignore you when you walk in-the owner has done a good job with the interior of this tiny salon, it is very clean and chic. Rick is an Amazing stylist-I have short hair and he cut it perfect! Also, they sell Unite hair products-I bought the shampoo-really good product. If you want Rick you need to make an appt.

Rick did an amazing job with my color and cut! I made a huge change-- I went from long blond hair to a short angled cut with a mahogany-reddish color. It looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely go back!
